Getting started
- On the computer you want to reach, download DuoRemotes from duoremotes.com and install it. It shows a 9-digit ID.
- Open DuoRemotes on your iPhone or iPad and enter that ID.
- Accept the request on the computer — or set a password on the computer once and connect without approval from then on.
Common questions
The connection is waiting for approval
Someone at the computer needs to click Accept in the DuoRemotes window. If you're away from it, set an unattended-access password on the computer beforehand and enter it on your phone.
“This computer is offline, or the ID is wrong”
Check the ID, and make sure the computer is on and connected to the internet. DuoRemotes starts automatically after a restart.
The Mac screen is black or I can't click
On the Mac, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow DuoRemotes Host under Screen Recording and Accessibility.
Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”
Click More info, then Run anyway. Updates after that are digitally signed and install automatically.
How do I right-click, scroll or zoom?
Tap with two fingers to right-click, drag with two fingers to scroll, and pinch to zoom. The magnifier button switches between fit, fill and zoom.
How do I remove access for a device?
On the computer, open DuoRemotes and choose “Forget all” under trusted devices. On your phone, tap ⋯ next to a computer and choose Forget.
